Selling Life Insurance is Tough
Selling life insurance when our economy is experiencing a recession can be difficult at best. However, the reality of owning life insurance is that clients value the coverage now more than ever. The difficult task is keeping up the premium payments when considering all budget items.
Life insurance coverage should be used to replace assets that have been devalued significantly by the market. It is the one asset that can instantly replace protection to businesses and families and restore financial security. Many advisors simply need to ask the question, "Wouldn’t you feel more comfortable having your life insurance coverage up to date due to the significant decline in asset values?" This question alone will provoke the review of present policies. And through the review process, the opportunities arise to consolidate costs, coverage, and set goals that will allow clients to feel more secure when reviewing their overall financial status. Now is not the time to flinch from asking this one simple question. After all, clients value excellent advice.
